ON A MISSION TO SERVE
Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since we first began in 1917. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.
OUR MISSION
What is the Chinese-American Lions Club of Atlanta (CALCA) and what its mission?
We are a local chapter of the International Association of Lions Clubs (IALC}. In addition to sharing the goals of IALC, we also serve the special needs of the Chinese community in Atlanta. We support the needy and the less fortunate among us. For example, we give influenza (flu) vaccines every year and monitor serum cholesterol and blood sugar levels of the elderly during our monthly Free Health Fair and Legal Resource Center at International Village. We support the Chinese Schools and the Chinese American Senior Citizen's Association. We also support youth development, education related projects and a variety of cultural activities, especially among the youth.

What is Lionism?Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Club which has grown Into the largest global service organization, has a vision that people in the world can help one another and not be bound by color, race, sex or ethnicity. Uonism has flourished throughout the years. We assist those who are vision impaired by supplying corrective eyewear and services. We also try to prevent unnecessary blindness.
